Evaluation of your blogging experience

Blogs...well when I told you you had to write blogs this last semester, I remember you looked at me with suspicion and distrust, like saying "what? is the teacher crazy or what? it's going to be extremely difficult and even boring" and it wasn't. At the beginning, maybe the first two blogs, I could see you were struggling to finish them (most of the times you didn't know what to say, how to start...),but as I told you in April, it gets easier as the time passes.
I just can say "congratulations!" you've put a lot of effort working on them, You've realized you can do it, and we have learned a little bit more about each other.

Write about your experience using blogs in the English class.

Say:

> What you think about the experience in general
> How much you feel your writing skills have developed
> What you would like to include in the future
> What else you would like to write about

Themed-Post 3: Changes from school life to university life

Hi all!

this is the last themed-post of this semester. You chose this topic a couple of months ago, so I think that now you've realized how your life has changed the last few months. Some of you are living away from your houses, some of you started to work and you've learned (or are still learning) how to organize your time and responsibilities.
In my case, as long as I can remember starting university was a big change in my life, it was like popping the bubble to get into the real world, where I became responsible for attending classes, getting good marks, etc. Even though my mom wasn't such a strict parent, and I was a good student at school; starting university was a challenge because the temptation of staying at home sleeping was strong 😈 Moreover, I started to have part-time jobs, which meant another responsibility, but also some extra money for all the new expenses you have at university (I didn't want to depend only and exclusively on my mom)
Anyway, it was a good year the first one, I met many interesting people, I learned a lot, and discovered new interests.
what about you?
Has it been a difficult semester?
Have you learned to organize your time?
Do you feel like an adult now?

A subject you enjoyed studying this semester

Hi all!!

This week post is about University, and more specifically the subject you really enjoyed studying during this semester. I know you are very stressed at this point of the semester, and maybe you don't want to hear about subjects (considering the end of the semester is quite near)... but, anyway your mission now is to choose one subject you really liked, the one that gave you the energy to continue or made you realize that this career is perfect for you.
You know I finished university many, many years ago, but I remember that a subject I really liked was French (I studied translation, too), I was very good at it, and my teacher made us read interesting articles, and discuss about them; and she was really kind, it was a pleasure to be in class, so I tried to be there all the time. Another subject I enjoyed, too was Judo (yes, martial arts), as any university student I was stressed, and I knew doing sports was a good choice to relax, so with a partner we joined (I had no or little information about what was it about), and at the end I was really into that sport, which I practiced for about 3 years.
What about you? Is it Anatomy, Chemistry or Simulations?

Career-related website/ Expert on your field

My favorite career-related website

Thinking of that, I wasn't really sure which is my favorite one, because I visit a lot of them! But, the one I visit most often is www.busyteacher.org,  a really good name for a website for teachers. This website contains worksheets, class ideas, etc. It's a really good tool for teachers of all levels (it has resources ranging from kindergarten to university-level students); when I first used this tool you had to create an account to access the resources, but nowadays it`s not necessary (which is awesome, because I used to forget the password all the time!). I visit this website quite often, when I need more attractive ideas or when I want to use a song to reinforce a particular topic in the classroom.
Another website that I use quite often is www.wordreference.com, which is one the best online dictionaries. The reason why I think this is one of the best dictionaries is that it has forum discussions, which are very useful when you are looking for the translation of a phrase or expression.
Well, if you are a teacher or a student of English, at least one of these websites could be a good option for enhancing your learning or saving time when you are planning your lessons; and if you're writing blogs I'm sure I told you to use wordreference and not google translator!!

 Hi all!

This week we will write about a career-related website that you enjoy visiting. You have to:

2. Describe the website (sections, features, etc)
3. Say how often you visit the site
4. Explain why you like the site

and... what if you don't have or know a website related with your career?? you can write about a person/expert on your field that you admire!

You have to mention:
1. Who this person is (short biography)
2. What this person has done (examples of their work)
